Privacy Policy
Last updated May 3, 2026
This website is built to minimize data collection and protect student privacy with features like client-side encryption. It was designed with FERPA principles in mind. No educational records as defined under FERPA are collected or retained by this service. No user accounts are required, and no names, email addresses, or personal identifiers are collected.
Data Collection and Processing
Assignment content, revision history, keystroke timing data, and copy-and-paste activity are stored locally in the user's browser while they work. This data is not permanently stored on any server.
When an assignment is saved, the assignment content is encrypted in the browser before being sent to the server. The server cannot read the assignment content.
Keystroke timing data is processed by a serverless function to compute the keyboard entropy score and is not permanently stored.
All assignment data is downloaded to the user's computer in encrypted form, and users retain full control over their files.
Meaningful engagement reports are computed in the user's browser and are never stored.
Cookies and Tracking
This site does not use cookies, third-party analytics, or tracking technologies that require user consent. Anonymous usage data is collected using private infrastructure solely to improve the site.
Data Retention
No personal data is collected or stored. Because no personal identifiers are collected, there is no personal data to retain.
Legal Rights
This site does not collect personal data. As a result, there is generally no personal data subject to rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU) or CCPA (California), including access, correction, or deletion rights.
